What goes into making an outstanding Paintless Dent Removal Tool?
Research, field experience and development go into manufacturing quality PDR Tools. What kind of metals should be used? Should they be tempered, heat treated, etc? Should they bend or retain shape?
With over 10 years field PDR experience and testing we have developed tools that comprehensively meet the needs of professional PDR Technicians.
From tools that are tempered with the correct Rockwell hardness, we've got the process refined so we can offer beautiful, long lasting, quality tools.
When you purchase a PDR Tool set from PDR-TOOLS.COM you get the following:
- Tools that are comprised of specific metals for specific needs.
- Brace wire sets that retain strength, and in various diameters and lengths for total panel access.
- Window access tools that allow access through the window opening.
- Tool tips that are designed for perfect accuracy and pressure, along with reduced high spot machining for that smooth orange peel finishing result.
- Tool handles that are user friendly. We’ve chosen the t-handle design for rods and the loop handle for hand tools for clearance, comfort and control.
- All of our tool kits have minimum rods with maximum speciality variety such as brace tools, whale tails, skinnies etc.
- Flat bars are almost never used by dent techs. All flat bars have been removed from our major tool kits, however they are still available if required.
- Tools that are in use worldwide by 100's of PDR Technicians.
- Tools that are backed by an unconditional lifetime guarantee.
Tool usage guide:
13mm - 12mm - 11mm Rods
Rods are for open areas such as under bonnets, boot lids, openings, and holes. And are used in a leveraging action through a hole, opening, or s-hook.
8mm window access
Window access tools are great for down the door glass opening and are used in a twisting action. They allow for a fast repair, as there is no need to disassemble door panels or drill.
6mm hand tools, 5mm brace tools, long skinnies, and mini skinnies
These are all used in a twisting action in tight areas, and under braces, which larger diameter tools can’t access.
Whale tails
All dent tech’s love whale tails; these are thin shafted all the way to the handle and are also used in a twisting action. With modern vehicle designs whale tails are essential.
Glue pullers
They’re for reducing the diameter and the depth of large dents, and then finishing off the dent with a regular PDR tool.
They’re also great for curved panels, which are tight, and for dents that for some reason can’t be accessed with tools.
